One Small Step
Taking action on climate change looks different to everyone. What does climate action look like for you? As an ANU staff member, you now have free access to a new sustainability app that supports you in reducing your carbon footprint, both on and off campus. Whether you’re already taking steps to reduce your impact or are unsure where to start, this app has something for everyone. Get support to tackle waste, save energy, embrace green transport, switch to climate-friendly products and more. Did you know you can salary sacrifice an e-bike? The University provides in house salary sacrifice for benefits such as laptop/PDAs, childcare, and on-campus parking, with external providers available for salary packaging of novated car leasing, additional superannuation to your chosen superannuation fund, self-education and membership fees and subscriptions.
ANU Kitchen Garden
The ANU Kitchen Garden program is a network of gardens on our Acton campus, which produces fresh, seasonal, delicious food. You can get involved by going along to one of our weekly Wednesday working bees, between 10am and 12pm.
The gardens offer off-campus students and self-catered on-campus residents the chance to regularly meet, carry out gardening and garden maintenance, and benefit from the harvest. You don't need to be a green thumb, just come along and join in growing a thriving food garden to share!
