Staff
Environmental Sustainability at ANU is led by a small, dedicated team of staff who work day-to-day on turning our Plan into action. This core team helps set direction, coordinate activities across the University, track progress and support practical sustainability initiatives on campus.
This team, also known as ANU Green, is supported by a broader group of staff who work closely with the sustainability team as part of their role. These colleagues contribute specialist knowledge, help deliver projects and embed sustainability considerations into areas such as energy, landscapes and ecosystems, waste and resource recovery, buildings and infrastructure and procurement. Their close connection to these core University activities helps ensure sustainability is integrated into how ANU operates.
Beyond this, many staff across ANU contribute to sustainability in different ways from leading local initiatives and participating in working groups, to building sustainability into teaching, research and everyday decision-making. Staff also connect through communities like the ANU Green Network, sharing ideas, learning from one another and supporting change on the ground.
