Our commitment to sustainability

Sustainability is more than an aspiration, it takes committed action. ANU established our commitment to sustainability in the late 90s with the establishment of our Environmental Management Plan (EMP).

ANU zeroes in on emission-reduction actions for 2030 pledge

The University has made significant progress to reduce emissions across its campuses since we announced the Below Zero initiative in May last year.

Multiple areas across the University including the Institute for Climate, Energy and Disaster Solutions, Crawford School of Public Policy, ANU Kitchen Garden, and the Fenner School, host sustainability events that share and celebrate their research, education, policy engagement and community.
